What makes a member Approved, Pending or Requested?
The user of the organization!
The customer/donation is made in the external portal, and the organization receives a notification. The notification is Red. The user must accept the notification, or the payment/donation (member) will remain pending. They don’t get accepted as members.
Once the organization User accepts the Payment, this is how it looks:
Payment is being accepted:
Screen now changes showing this green message below that it was accepted.
The screen will look like this, with no red notifications.
This means the customer is now a member of the organization.
At this point, your membership screen could look this way. In the membership screens, when you see Green or yellow this is when payments are current (Green) and coming due (Yellow).
This is important because it is based on how the organization set up the fixed, variable, or donation payment links under the membership settings.
Under Membership settings, if they only want to make donations and have the customer or donors see donations, they need to click on Donations and no membership.
This is what the donor will see when they log in for the first time to be a donor or it asks them if they want to be a donor.
This screen is the external portal screen and gives them options to make a one-time payment or reoccurring.
If they set up reoccurring, they can now choose the date in here as well.
Once the payment is made by the donor, they will see this.
Now that they have made a payment, the organization will get the notification of the pending donation.
If an organization wants to see the health of their company’s membership status, they can look at the metrics.
Under this example, I can search the dates for the metrics by date or by Active vs inactive members
by different stats.
The Arrow is pointing to the calendar portion where you can choose the date to start the search.
The first column is where you select a specific date range.
Under this section in metrics, you can search for Members who have paid (they will be listed as Members), you can search for your non members (people who are entered who have not made a payment or donation), and your donors.
In this example, I have searched for members. This will show me the paid (approved) members
If a user wants to update a customer’s renewal cycle – That is found in Membership Management.
Click on the customer name.
