Difference Between Sales and Metrics Funnel Chart

Hello there. Today I will show you the difference between the sales funnel chart and the metrics funnel chart in your MAPS organization.

To begin, you will need to log into MAPS.

Then enter your organization.

Click on the Dashboard tab on the left-hand side of the screen in the Module Menu Panel.

The Dashboard screen will open.

Pay attention to the graph at the bottom of the screen under Open Opportunities by Stage. This is set to a Sales Funnel Chart by default.

A Sales Funnel Chart is for:

The Sales Funnel Chart on the Dashboard helps you keep track of pipeline opportunities. It displays the stages of the pipeline, as well as the number of opportunities that went through that stage.

It is important to note that this IS NOT showing the number of opportunities in that stage, but rather the number of opportunities that went THROUGH that stage.

You can see how many opportunities have gone through each stage by looking at the number corresponding to each stage on the chart. If you move your cursor over the stages in the pipeline, a tag will show saying what stage it is, as well as the number of opportunities that went through that stage.

This is convenient if you want to view and keep track of how many opportunity cards, overall, have gone through each stage. It tracks the progress of the opportunities in the pipeline, but also is a way to view the overall progress of your pipeline, not just at that moment in time. If you move your cursor over the stages in the pipeline, a tag will show saying what stage it is, as well as the number of opportunities that went through that stage.

A Metrics Funnel Chart is for:

The Metrics Funnel Chart on the Dashboard also helps you keep track of pipeline opportunities and displays the stages of the pipeline but is different than a Sales Funnel Chart because it shows the number of opportunities IN that stage.

It is important to note that this IS NOT showing the number of opportunities that went through that stage, but rather the number of opportunities that are IN that stage.

You can see how many opportunities are in each stage by looking at the number corresponding to each stage on the chart. If you move your cursor over the stages in the pipeline, a tag will show saying what stage it is, as well as the number of opportunities that are in that stage.

This is convenient if you want to view and keep track of how many opportunity cards are in each stage. It tracks the progress of the opportunities in that pipeline, but also is a way to view how your pipeline is doing at that moment in time, not the overall progress.

Thanks for choosing MAPS Technologies and have a wonderful day!
