How to Add, Remove and Edit a User
Hello there. Today, I will show you how to add, delete, and edit a user.
To begin, log into MAPS Technologies.
Then enter your organization.
We will begin with how to add a user.
Click on the Settings Tab in the Module Menu Panel on the left-hand side of the screen.
The Settings screen will open.
Click on the User Management Tab from the menu at the top of the Settings screen.
The User Management screen will open.
Click the Blue Add User Button on the upper right-hand side of the screen.
A pop-up box will appear that requires you to enter the information for the user. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, there is also an option to toggle user permissions. If you are unfamiliar with what user permissions do in your organization, you can find more information on them in our Knowledge Library at ***.
Click the Blue Save Button
Adding a user to your organization is helpful because it gives you the ability to have different admins for your organization, while still limiting their access to certain valuable or beta-mode information.
Now we will go over how to remove a user.
Click on the Settings Tab in the Module Menu Panel on the left-hand side of the screen.
The Settings screen will open.
Click on the User Management tab from the menu at the top of the Settings screen.
Find the user you want to delete, or you can click on the search box and type the user's name.
Click on the Pencil icon on the far right of the user's name.
A new screen will materialize.
Click the Blue Remove button at the top of the new screen.
Confirm you want to remove the user by typing 'delete' in the text box that appears.
Removing a user is useful if you add a user by accident or if the user is no longer part of your organization.
Finally, we will go over how to edit a user.
Click on the Settings Tab in the Module Menu Panel on the left-hand side of the screen.
The Settings screen will open.
Click on the User Management tab from the menu at the top of the screen.
Find the user you want to edit, or you can click on the search box and type the user's name.
Click on the Pencil icon on the right of the user's name.
A new screen will materialize.
From here you can add a picture, change their name, change their email, change their phone number, change their password, add an extension, add them to a calendar, give them a twilio number, change their role, and change what permissions they have within your organization.
Editing a user is useful if the information put into the user is incorrect, if they forgot their password, or if you want to change what they can and cannot do in the organization.
