Task Description: How to create an Email HTML Template

Objective: To show Organization Admins permission level and Users how to create an Email HTML Template

Organization: All

System Permission Level: System Admin/User and Organization Admin/User 


Step 1

Go to www.growthpowersuite.com and click the green Login button.


Step 2

Enter your username and password then click the blue Login button.


Step 3

Click on your Organization (if you are in multiple organizations). If you are only in one, you will begin on the Dashboard.


Step 4

Click on the Messaging Templates tab on the Module Menu Panel then select the sub-tab Email HTML Builder.


Step 5

The Email HTML Builder Templates screen will appear. Click on the blue Add Template button and a dropdown menu will materialize.


Step 6

Click on Blank Template. This option enables the user to create the Email Template from the ground up and tailor it to their exact specifications.


Step 7

At the top, you will see the Name and Subject field. The Name field will auto populate, but you can modify it as needed. The Subject line is empty so make sure to give your Email Template a Subject line.


Step 8

On the right side, you will find your tools. Under the Content section, you will find the following tools.

Columns: It allows your users to add columns to your design in order to have a better design arrangement.

Button: Add any type of button in your email. You can change colors and styles.

Divider: It gives your users appropriate spacing at any point they want in their design.

Heading: Add headings (from level 1-4) to the design.

Text: Text is a built-in tool so users can add text to their designs.

Image: To make your emails attractive, you can add images using this tool.

Menu: Menu is a built-in tool used to create navigation menus.

HTML: This tool will give your users room to add custom HTML to the design.


Under the Blocks section, you will find Blank rows that are separated into different column sizes. You can drag and drop the row with your desired column size onto the email editor.  


Under the Body section, you will find your General, Email Settings, and Links. In General, you can perform basic customization such as changing text color, background color, content width, content alignment, font family, and font weight. In Email Settings, you can add a preheader text which allows you to write a short summary text that follows the subject line when viewing an email from the inbox. Lastly, in the Links tab, you can customize the color of your links and toggle the underline on or off.  


Step 9

Click and drag the tools on the right to the blue box in the middle of the editor box.


Step 10

Around the editor box, you will find 6 buttons surrounding it. 


Step 11

After you've finished customizing the Email Template, click the Save button to save your template.
