Contacts Description:

The very first step for anyone to begin using GPS is to build a Contact Base. Without contacts, we cannot use any other part of the system! GPS makes building a contact base quite simple to do! Below will be two different methods for getting your contacts into the system. If you have been gathering contacts via pen and paper, this might be the preferred option for you. All you need for these contacts are a first and last name, phone number, and email address.

If you have a digital list of contacts, you are in luck! Take the excel sheet or download option from another platform and convert it to a CSV formatted spreadsheet, it can be imported into the system. Do note that it MUST BE A SPREADSHEET FILED AS A CSV! The system will not accept word documents, text documents, or .xlsx files. This might sound complicated, but we assure you it is not.

You might be wondering how to upload information that is specific to your organization. You can create custom fields for this information prior to uploading or entering in contacts. There are several different formats of fields you can create to fit the information you would like to input.

Another aspect to keep in mind when uploading contacts into your organization are tags. Tags are used as identifiers within the system. Some examples of tags might be Donor, board member, Staff member or even Sponsorship Levels. These can help organize contacts and show what role they play for your business. Tags can also aid you with automation.

Forms & Templates Description:

You were probably wondering how to gather new contacts once you have uploaded your pre-existing contacts? Now gathering contacts is simple and requires limited work on your end! We have already sent you, your own personalized QR code that is attached to a digital Form that asks for a contact's first and last name, cell phone number, email, and date of birth. What you do with this QR code is entirely up to you. You can put the form on your website/social media, make flyers with the QR code on them, or place the QR code on a receipt. We encourage you to get creative with your form/QR code!

Templates can make your life much easier. Nobody wants to have to create the same message repeatedly, it's just tedious. Templates allow you to create an SMS or Email message that is saved and can be inserted into an SMS or Email when sending to a contact directly, or placed into a sequence.
